There are times when I feel that love I felt for you. There are places that remind me of where I've been with you. There are thoughts that consume me in the hatred I feel for you now. All I hear in my mind is 'excuses', your favorite thing to give me. Even as I feel the burn of alcohol ease it's way down my throat, it changes nothing. The pain never subsides. My heart didn't break of my time wasted with you. But my mind shattered, forgetting the meaning of sanity. You can question this as much as you want, but you'll never understand why.
